At Cash for Chances Competitions Ltd (Company No: SC870772), your participation in our competitions is governed by the following Terms and Conditions. By entering any competition, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Legal Entity & Governing Law
• These Terms and Conditions are issued by Cash for Chances Competitions Ltd (Company No: SC870772), registered in Scotland.
• These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.
• Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
2. Eligibility
• Competitions are open to UK residents aged 18 or over.
• Proof of age, identity, and eligibility may be required before any prize is released.
• Employees, contractors, agents, or anyone professionally connected with the company are not eligible to enter.
3. Entries
• All entries must be submitted via the official Cash for Chances website.
• Entries that are incomplete, duplicated, automated, fraudulent, or reasonably suspected of manipulation will be void.
• Entry limits may apply where stated on the competition page.
4. Competition Structure, Minimum Entry Threshold & Governing Condition
• Each competition will clearly display the prize details, ticket price, entry limit (if applicable), closing date, and any conditions required for the competition to proceed.
• Each competition is subject to:
- a Minimum Entry Threshold, and/or
- a governing condition (being any operational, regulatory, or structural requirement necessary for the competition to fairly proceed).
• The Minimum Entry Threshold is a fixed entry level set prior to launch and will not be changed once the competition is live.
• The governing condition refers to any additional requirement necessary for the fair, lawful, or operational running of the competition (including but not limited to technical, compliance, or prize funding considerations).
• Both the Minimum Entry Threshold and any governing condition will be clearly displayed on the competition page and made available to entrants prior to completing their purchase.
• All entries are accepted on the basis that the competition will only proceed if the Minimum Entry Threshold and any applicable governing condition(s) are satisfied by the closing date.
• If the Minimum Entry Threshold and/or governing condition(s) are not met, the competition may be extended or cancelled in accordance with Section 9.
5. Competition Duration
• Competitions normally run for up to 30 days unless otherwise stated.
• We reserve the right to extend a competition where necessary to ensure fair completion.
6. Skill-Based Questions & Free Entry Route
• Where a skill-based question forms part of a competition entry process, details of the question and requirements will be displayed on the relevant competition page before entry.
• Where a free entry route is available, details of the free entry method will be provided on the relevant competition page or within these Terms. Free entries will be treated fairly in accordance with the competition rules.
7. Winner Selection
• Winners are selected using a secure and verifiable process.
• Draws may be live-streamed, recorded, or independently verified.
• The promoter’s decision is final regarding competition administration.
8. Prizes & Payments
• Prizes are only awarded where the Minimum Entry Threshold and any governing condition(s) have been met.
• Winners are normally contacted within 7 days of the draw.
• Payments are normally made within 7–10 working days after verification.
• Winners must claim prizes within 14 days unless otherwise agreed.
• We may require proof of identity, age, and address before releasing prizes.
• Winners agree that their first name, surname initial, or winning entry may be used for promotional purposes unless prohibited by law.
• Instant win prizes (if applicable) are pre-allocated before the competition opens.
9. Refunds, Cancellations & Extensions
• Entry fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
• Refunds may be issued for duplicate payments or technical errors.
• Where a competition does not meet its Minimum Entry Threshold and/or governing condition(s), it may be extended, amended, or cancelled.
• In the event of cancellation, entrants will be notified and refunds will be issued where required by law.
• Any changes will be clearly communicated to entrants.
10. Promotional Credit
• Promotional credit has no cash value and is non-transferable.
• It can only be used on Cash for Chances competitions.
• Additional conditions may apply at the time of issue.
•Promotional or goodwill credit is applied manually or automatically depending on the promotion.
•Credits may take up to 48 hours to appear in your account after being issued.
•Only one promotional or goodwill credit may be issued per customer unless otherwise stated.
•We reserve the right to refuse or limit credit where appropriate to ensure fairness and consistency across all users.
11. Charity Contributions
• Where advertised, a percentage of ticket revenue may be donated to a nominated charity.
• Full details will be shown on the relevant competition page.
12. Responsible Participation
• We encourage responsible participation in all competitions.
• We reserve the right to restrict or refuse entry where misuse or abuse is suspected.
13. Data Protection
• Personal data is processed in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy.
• Data is used for competition administration, legal compliance, fraud prevention, and communication.
14. Liability
• Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.
• Our liability is limited to the value of the entry purchased.
15. Amendments
• We may update these Terms for legal, operational, or commercial reasons.
• Any updates will be published on the website where appropriate.
