These Terms and Conditions are issued by Cash for Chances Competitions Ltd, registered in the United Kingdom. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. By entering a competition, participants agree that any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
1. Eligibility
- Competitions are open to UK residents aged 18 or over.
- Proof of age, identity, and eligibility may be required before any prize is awarded.
- Employees, agents, or anyone professionally connected with Cash for Chances Ltd are excluded from entry.
2. Entries
- Entries must be submitted via the official Cash for Chances website.
- Entries that are incomplete, incorrect, duplicate, automated, or fraudulent will be void.
- Cash for Chances Ltd reserves the right to limit the number of entries per person, as stated on each competition page.
3. Competition Details
- Full competition details — including prize description, ticket price, maximum entries, closing date, and minimum entry threshold — will be clearly stated on the relevant competition page.
- Competitions normally run for a maximum of 30 days unless otherwise stated.
- If all tickets are not sold by the advertised closing date, Cash for Chances Ltd may:
- Extend the competition for a short, defined period, or
- Cancel the competition if the minimum entry threshold is not reached.
4. Minimum Entry Threshold & Conditional Prizes
- Each competition has a minimum ticket requirement to ensure prizes can be funded.
- All prizes, including main and instant wins, are conditional on reaching the minimum ticket threshold.
- If the minimum threshold is not reached by the closing date, Cash for Chances Ltd may:
- Extend the competition period, or
- Cancel the competition and no prizes will be awarded.
- By entering, participants agree that ticket purchases are non-refundable and prizes are only payable if the minimum ticket threshold is met.
5. Skill-Based & Free Entry Route
- Some competitions may require entrants to answer a skill-based question.
- Where winners are selected by chance and paid entry is available, a free alternative entry route will be provided and treated equally to paid entries.
6. Winner Selection & Transparency
- Winners are selected using a secure and independently verifiable method.
- Draws may be recorded, live-streamed, or verified by a third party.
- The promoter’s decision is final in all matters relating to the draw.
7. Prizes & Payments
- Winners will be contacted within 7 days of the draw.
- Main prizes will be paid within 7–10 working days, subject to verification.
- Prizes must be claimed within 14 days of notification; unclaimed prizes may be reallocated.
- Winners may be asked to provide a photo and/or comment to confirm their win for publication on the Cash for Chances Facebook page and other promotional channels. By accepting a prize, winners consent to their name and image being used for marketing purposes.
- We reserve the right to request proof of identity for verification purposes on larger prizes or where required for fraud prevention.
- By entering, you agree that if you win, your username or first name and initial will be published on our website and social media channels to announce the results.
- Instant win prizes are allocated to pre-selected ticket numbers before the competition opens.
- Instant win prizes will only be paid once the minimum ticket threshold is reached.
- Instant win entries remain valid entries for the main prize draw.
9. Promotional & Free Entry Credit
- Promotional or free entry credit has no cash value, is non-transferable, and can only be used for competitions operated by Cash for Chances Ltd.
- Credit will only be issued once any qualifying entry or spend requirement has been met.
10. Charity Donations
- A minimum of 5% of ticket revenue from selected competitions will be donated to a nominated charity.
- Details of the chosen charity and donation will be published on the competition page or website where applicable.
11. Refunds
- Ticket purchases are non-refundable once processed.
- Refunds will only be issued where required by law or in the case of duplicate or fraudulent entries.
- If a competition is cancelled because the minimum ticket threshold is not reached, no prizes will be awarded and ticket purchases will remain non-refundable, as stated in these terms.
12. Responsible Play
- Entrants are encouraged to play responsibly.
- Information and support resources are available on the Responsible Play page.
13. Data Protection
- Personal data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR and the Cash for Chances Ltd Privacy Policy.
- Data will only be used for competition administration and related communications.
14. Amendments & Cancellation
- Cash for Chances Ltd reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel competitions where unavoidable circumstances arise.
- Any material changes will be communicated to entrants wherever possible.
15. Liability
- Cash for Chances Ltd’ liability is limited to the value of the entry purchased, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
